Dudley’s Home Health is owned and operated by nurses. Our goal is to provide individualized home health care to meet each of our client’s needs.
I received my nursing degree in 1979 and I have experience in numerous aspects of nursing including: Med/Surg, Endoscopy, Long Term Care and Home Health Care. Early on in my career while working for a national home health care agency I quickly realized the need for patient advocacy and education in my community. The time that I spent working as a home health nurse, served as motivation for me to open a home health care agency of my own. It was important to me that I worked with a company that was more involved with their clients on a personal level and developed individual relationships with each of them.
In 1992 I cofounded Dudley’s Home Health, Inc. starting out as the sole caregiver and today we proudly employee nearly 100 caring individuals. To this day I continue to oversee the daily aspects of the company to ensure quality and compassion in the business. Providing premium individualized care for each and every client has always been a top priority for me so by cofounding Dudley’s Home Health I had a way of guaranteeing that type of quality care. It gives me great satisfaction knowing that what we do here at Dudley’s makes a difference in the lives of the people right here in my community.
I began my career with Dudley’s in early 2007 as an In Home Aide. I currently hold the position of Administrative Assistant. Some of my duties include assisting office personnel, Medicaid billing, staffing coordinator and assisting accounting. Before I joined Dudley’s Home Health I attended CPCC specializing in Business Administration.
I am the Director of Nursing here at Dudley’s Home Health, Inc. I received my nursing degree in 1997. Before I received my RN, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care. I have lived in the Lake Norman area my entire life and understand the importance of family and community. This is just one of the many reasons that I have enjoyed working at Dudley’s Home Health, Inc. since 2003. I have worked in many areas of the nursing field with specialties in Geriatrics and Wound Care. I oversee all healthcare aspects of the company. This includes doing client visits, reviewing records, communicating with physicians and social workers, scheduling, QA, and personnel evaluations and training. As Director of Nursing, I maintain the policy and procedures to ensure they are in place and followed to keep Dudley’s in good standing with the Department of Health and Human Services for the state of North Carolina.
I currently serve as the Business Development Coordinator for Dudley’s Home Health, Inc. I am responsible for development and growth of new business and maintaining effective key agency relationships. I also ensure business growth through managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with Dudley’s Home Health, Inc’s vision and strategy. Prior to joining Dudley’s, I held a Marketing Director and Office Manager position with a doctor’s office in Statesville for nine years. My past experience includes: market research, project development, marketing and advertising development and implementation, as well as promotional planning and communication efforts related to creating increased business referrals.
I was Vice President and Office Manager for 25 years with a commercial construction company before entering the health care profession 12 years ago. As Receptionist, I greet both visitors and callers with a friendly smile and voice. This is often how most people first come into contact with Dudley’s. I oversee the ordering of office supplies and I ensure that all of our caregivers receive the necessary paperwork to perform their duties on a weekly basis.
